Following a recent $6.8M funding we are looking for stand-out commercial and technical talent to help us extend our leadership position. Preservica is soon to launch a new solution that makes digital preservation easily accessible and useable by all Microsoft 365 customers. This exciting new approach helps customers to maximize their Information Governance investments by accelerating product innovation which embeds digital preservation into the heart of Microsoft 365. The Role

This newly created Channel Marketing role is an opportunity to make a real difference in a fast-paced cross-functional global team of product, marketing, channel and sales talent that will spearhead the launch of a new game-changing Microsoft 365 archiving and active preservation solution.

The Channel team will have a high profile as Preservica’s business plan requires effective and productive partnerships. The focus will be on growth - firstly, to expand our partnership and business with Microsoft and the Microsoft Partner Community and secondly, through selectively identifying and recruiting new partners to enable growth in our core markets, especially the Public Sector Market. Your role will be key to the success of these initiatives as we on-board new partners, bring their Preservica solutions to market and drive new Channel business.

You will work closely with the VP Marketing for North America to create and drive a strategic Channel Marketing Plan for North America and our “Rest of the World” region (currently Europe and Australia), acting as a trusted advisor with our partners so that they, in turn, confidently and efficiently help their customers benefit from Digital Preservation.

To meet the needs of these initiatives, alongside the VP of Channels and the Marketing team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the existing Preservica Partner Program successfully expands to meet our partner’s needs and that we market proactively to and with our partners to drive new joint leads and business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic channel marketing plan that will deliver against the Channel targets for qualified leads, bookings and KPIs for new user acquisition and that complements our regional Marketing plans.
  • Provide Channel Marketing support to the Channel Sales team to help expand our Microsoft Partnership and recruit Microsoft partners , supporting the rapid market expansion plans for Preservica’s new Microsoft 365 solution.
  • Work with the Channel Sales Team, through supporting market research, to identify and qualify select partners to recruit based upon the Strategic Business requirements of Preservica, especially our focus on the US Public Sector and then work with these partners to develop relevant joint industry/business propositions and go-to-market plans.
  • Deliver marketing programs with our Channel Partners that both grow the partner’s business with Preservica and are aligned to both our industry and regional marketing plans. Define and execute on Channel Marketing plans with our Tier 1 partners.
  • Lead the expansion of the Preservica Partner Program, working with the Channel, Marketing and Customer/Partner Success teams, to ensure we have the partner program infrastructure to support the growth plans for Channel partners, improving their self-sufficiency.
  • Proactively communicate to our partners, informing them about Preservica’s plans, news, business activity and highlighting new opportunities for partners to engage with us and their customers.
  • Engage our partners in Preservica social media activity and proactively promote joint digital activity with our partners.
  • Proactive use of CRM ( to track Channel business & activity (essential) & LinkedIn for networking (beneficial).

Requirements and Previous Experience

  • 5+ years of channel marketing experience.
  • Demonstrable background of delivering marketing programs that help to build and develop partnerships, drive revenue growth through the channel, and in a similar technology or software channel/partner marketing position.
  • Proven experience of planning and delivering lead generation campaigns, using marketing automation tools, marketing events & webinars (including hosting these events), press releases, case-studies and other marketing initiatives.
  • Experience in running and developing an effective Partner program (preferred) or experience of best-practice partner programs gained through working within a company that operates an effective Microsoft-focused Partner program.
  • Worked with partners to refine and promote innovative business-based value propositions, providing strong marketing expertise and guidance to the partner.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft, especially successful marketing engagement with the Microsoft field organisation, and Microsoft Partners. A background with SharePoint partners who specialise in information governance, information archiving and/or application decommissioning would be beneficial.
  • A team player: strong interpersonal skills, strategically literate; strong influencer; good listening, confident communication and thought-provoking presentation ability.
  • Appropriate Marketing qualifications.
  • Experience in working for a software company or a consultancy in the Enterprise Content Management/Services or Archival market would be beneficial i.e. with good knowledge of the content and data lifecycle as well as understanding Digital Transformation.

Location & Reporting

This role can either be based from our Boston offices or remotely from a US base. The role reports into the Global VP Channel & Alliances (UK-based) and will be an integral part of our US Sales & Marketing organisation, working closely on a day-to-day basis with the VP of Marketing for North America. You will be required to travel to partners’ premises within the US. Some International travel may also be required.
