Preservica is soon to launch a new solution that makes digital preservation easily accessible and useable by all Microsoft 365 customers. This exciting new approach helps customers to maximize their Information Governance investments by accelerating product innovation which embeds digital preservation into the heart of Microsoft 365. The Role

This newly created Product Manager role is an opportunity to make a real difference in a fast-paced cross-functional global team of product, marketing, partner and sales talent that will spearhead the launch of a new game-changing Microsoft 365 archiving and active preservation solution.

You will be the owner of Preservica’s Microsoft 365 archiving and active preservation solution, building and maintaining the product roadmap, the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives and features, owning and monitoring your own KPIs to ensure your products are working well and providing great customer experiences.

You will have a knack for making the complex seem easy with knowledge and skills in Information Governance, Microsoft SharePoint, 365 and Compliance Center a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Own and lead the Microsoft-focused product area roadmap and KPIs.

Act as the voice of the customer and champion those customers throughout the entire organisation.

Work closely alongside developers; understand the technology, its capabilities and know what’s feasible

Work with key stakeholders to define customer journeys and translate strategic business ideas into product stories and acceptance criteria.

Work with product strategists to turn high-level strategic product goals into implementable solutions.

Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement to refine and/or define user journeys and specific product features.

Work with Engineering and QA to scope Epics/features, breaking them down into reasonably sized stories that can then be slotted into sprints within a release.

Willingness to challenge current processes and strive for improved ways of working.

Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for product areas for which they have responsibility.

Communicate the state of projects across teams, stakeholders as well as to executives.

Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems.

Requirements & Previous Experience

3+ years experience as a product owner/manager with specific experience in the Microsoft Ecosystem.

Experience in operational excellence and process optimisation.

Expert level skills in gathering requirements, creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, producing accurate estimates and managing stakeholder expectations.

Knowledge and understanding of the features and capabilities of Microsoft technologies including SharePoint, Exchange and Teams.

Previous experience working in an Agile product development environment.

Well-rounded knowledge in software delivery and integration delivery, data storage or preservation knowledge is useful but not essential.

Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritise.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a diverse set of responsibilities.

Proven ability to collaborate with a global team, across multiple time zones.

Demonstrable ability to collaborate with project/product stakeholders to reach consensus agreement.

Location & Reporting

Either office-based in Abingdon, or working remotely in the UK or office-based in Boston MA or working remotely in the US and reporting to the Chief Technology Office (CTO), this position includes travel to conferences, events and partners’ and customers’ premises. Some International travel will be required.
