Support Engineer 3rd Line (Boston MA)

The Person

You will enjoy interacting with customers, you thrive on solving technical problems and are driven by a desire to learn and enhance your knowledge and capabilities. You communicate well at all levels and through all channels.

As part of a small team you will need to be self-motivated, highly organized and able to multitask and prioritize.

Last and not least you will have walked the walk, with proven experience in an external facing customer support role dealing with the technologies listed below.

The Role

Our customers are a diverse group of technical and non-technical users spread across North America and around the world. They use both on-premise and cloud hosted solutions and require remote, and sometimes onsite, support for their questions and issues.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • You should be completely at home working with the popular incarnations of Linux (Centos, Red Hat) and Windows (Server 2012, 2016)
  • You will have an understanding of web based / java application technologies (Apache, Tomcat, http(s), web services)
  • You are experienced with network technologies and their troubleshooting
  • You are familiar with Directory Services (AD/LDAP)
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT and HTML would be advantageous


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that you can apply to solve technical problems and deliver results on time.
  • Self-motivated, delivery focused, works equally well independently and in teams.
  • Highly organized with a strong command of detail. Comfortable with balancing priorities and multitasking.
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to learn
