Technical Project Manager (Abingdon/Remote, UK)

We are always striving to make our customers more successful and to support this quest we are looking for a technically focused project manager manager to join our growing team. Your challenge is to ensure our customers get the very best from our world leading digital preservation software.

The Role

You will be the face of Preservica, working closely with customers to support the overall success of their digital preservation program by providing guidance and hands-on support for structuring data and meta data, uploading and ingesting large volumes of digitized and born-digital content, managing the delivery of sponsored product features, customizing discovery and access portal, configuring roles and security, integrating and mapping to catalog and other systems, handling different content packages, and liaising with the customer’s IT team to gain support configuration where required. You will also be the success champion for the customer managing and coordinating their support related issues as they arise.

Ideally from a developer / coding / scripting background with one foot in project management, you are now ready to take a lead in managing the needs of enterprise level clients with a mix of project / stakeholder management while keeping in touch with technology and coding. You will thrive in a fast-paced, small team environment with a focus on delivering high levels of customer experience.


• Achieve high levels of Client satisfaction in the utilization of our SaaS products

• Leverage the Product APIs to develop scripts/utilities to help customers achieve more with the Product

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex technical systems and processes, with the ability to work with senior technical staff to help analyse and architect software and technical solutions

• Work towards building relationships that continually increase satisfaction, retention, and growth

• Spend time understanding clients’ objectives and deliver programs that support these goals

• Maintain consistent and frequent communication with clients to ensure efficient project implementation, review ongoing needs, provide timely solutions and recommendations to help achieve success and drive product adoption and engagement

• Identify risks preventing customers from meeting objectives and work closely with the Business to mitigate and solve and escalate internally if necessary

• Foster effective decision-making and operational excellence across the business by building relationships and helping internal teams understand client priorities and business context

• Deeply understand the product suite, technical components, service offerings and functionality to enable effective communication of capabilities to both business and technical client audiences

What We Look For

• Technical ability on any scripting or coding language: Java, .NET, Python, Bash, Perl, etc…

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and strong time management skills

• Experience of identifying and managing change requests to agreed project scope

• Experience in providing a customer centric software service

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and quality

• The ability to identify risks, issues and dependencies, manage them and provide escalations and recommendations where required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Creative, innovative, future focused, entrepreneurial, high energy individual focused on delivery
