At Preservica, we are committed to ensuring accessibility for all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive and user-friendly experience on our website and within our products. We have taken significant steps to make our digital platforms accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Preservica New Generation Editions and New Generation Portal
This accessibility statement applies to our Preservica New Generation Editions and New Generation Portal products.
Conformance status
Preservica New Generation Editions and New Generation Portal are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed in the ‘Non-accessible content’ section below.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 22/07/2024. It was last reviewed on 30/09/2024.
These products were assessed internally by product and development teams. They were tested using automated browser tools and manual tests. The automated tools used were WAVE evaluation tool, axe DevTools and WCAG color contrast checker. Manual testing was done using default keyboard functions and MAC OS VoiceOver and Windows Narrator screenreaders.
Client Data
Preservica New Generation Editions and New Generation Portal are used to host and display Client Data on the web. Preservica also allows certain Portal features to be customised. Where possible, the necessary tools are available for Client Data to be provided in ways that comply with WCAG standards. We cannot take responsibility for Client Data or Portal customisations that are not accessible.
Client Data Includes but is not limited to, all text, files, images, graphics, illustrations, information, data (including personal information or personal data), audio, video, photographs and any other content and materials, in any format, inputted, transmitted, distributed, accessed, stored, or uploaded by or on behalf of the Client in connection with its use of the Subscription Services.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We test our new releases to ensure quality and accessible experiences are introduced into our products. We have reviewed our Preservica New Generation Interface and New Generation Portal products against WCAG 2.2 AA standards to identify any issues that users may currently face. These issues have been prioritised as an accessibility roadmap that we intend to action.
Non-accessible content
We know some parts of this product are not fully accessible. Below you will find a summary of these issues. For greater detail please refer to our VPAT document, available by request from our Trust Center.
- Keyboard users may have issues using the following features:
- Adjusting user roles on user management pages.
- Utilizing WYSIWYG text editor fields on Style my portal pages.
- Style my portal color mode selection fields.
- Accessing some fields on the Portal settings page.
- Accessible labels, ARIA or HTML may be incorrect on some elements.
- Some text elements do not meet text contrast requirements.
- Minor graphical contrast issues on some icons.
- Some interactive elements may not be obvious enough when they have the current keyboard focus.
- Some graphical elements such as charts and progress bars do not have accessible names.
- Some example video content provided for users on Starter editions may not contain audio descriptions or captions.
- Keyboard navigation order for Upload & Preserve progress items is incorrect.
- Login pages do not correctly identify the language of the page.
- Form validation errors are not clear enough on login pages.
