Preservica celebrates independence!

Preservica is now free to accelerate its plans to grow the business within the cultural heritage and corporate sectors, and increase our focus on building a world-class digital preservation platform.

December 2, 2015

I am delighted to share the great news that today, Preservica has become an independent software business, backed and owned by our original shareholders, and run by the same team of experts who have successfully delivered our digital preservation software to a growing customer base.

As we’ve grown and digital preservation has moved up the public and corporate agenda, Preservica have come to realise that we can best serve our customers by creating a corporate model more suitable for our specialised technology and activities.

The move to being an independent company has been planned for many months, with the timing being driven by the acquisition of Tessella (our former parent company) by Altran Group.

The good news is that Tessella's former shareholders will continue as the owners of Preservica and they have also made a significant cash injection into the business to ensure we will continue to operate smoothly.

This is a very exciting time for us as a business. We have seen a 50% growth in new customer signings in the last six months as we become recognised as the most experienced company specialising in digital preservation.

Preservica is now free to accelerate its plans to grow the business within the cultural heritage and corporate sectors, and increase our focus on building a world-class digital preservation platform with the valued input of the Preservica user community.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for their continued hard work, and all of our customers for their continued support. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. And if you’d like to share our good news, please feel free to broadcast to your social channels.

Here’s to a bright future!

Jon Tilbury, CEO Preservica
