Session D4 – Automating the governance and digital preservation of long-term Microsoft 365 records and content
Gareth Bennett, Product Marketing Manager at Preservica
The session will explore case studies of how Archives and Records teams are coming together to streamline and automate the governance of long-term and permanent digital content. It will look at how migration, digital preservation and discoverability of content from Microsoft 365 can be simplified to ensure it can always be found, surfaced and read by knowledge workers using existing and familiar tools.
In this session we will explore how organizations are able to:
- Actively preserve and automatically archive critical long-term records and content using Microsoft retention labels
- Easily retrieve preserved records and content using Microsoft discovery tools
- Transfer and preserve closed projects and sites
- Ensure records and content are always accessible in the latest file formats
- Reduce user burden, increase compliance to retention requirements and maximize Microsoft 365 investments
