Preservica Expands Embedded SharePoint Integration with Unified Search Across Active, Archived and Legacy Content
Preservica, the leader in AI-powered Active Digital Preservation™, has added unified search to Preserve365®, its embedded archiving, preservation and discovery software for Microsoft 365.
With this update, records from any system, file share or legacy application archived in Preservica can be found in the same SharePoint search that government and enterprise teams already use, alongside their active and archived SharePoint content.
How it works
- Consolidate. Long-term content from file shares, legacy applications and other systems is moved into Preservica.
- Control. Security policies in Preservica decide which records appear in SharePoint search and which Microsoft 365 groups can see them.
- Search. Users find records through SharePoint search, using the tools they already know. Records are not copied back into SharePoint storage.

This new capability makes SharePoint the place to search for both active and archived content, so teams can respond faster to FOIA, legal, regulatory and operational requests.
